VFF - Weekend Festival Pass 2026
About this event
Becoming a member of the Capitol Circle means taking pride in supporting your local arts community and commitment to the well-being of the Capitol Theatre. The 33rd Vintage Film Festival presents thirteen of the “best dressed” movies of the 20th century—each of which, in its own way, intrigues us from a fashion or costume perspective, in addition to being a great motion picture in its own right. We’ve got comedies, dramas, musicals, art house classics, and even horror movies; and each of them established an instantly recognizable costume, introduced a memorable wardrobe item, or had fun with its fashion industry setting. Come and enjoy them all—and don’t fail to bring the kids to see the animated classic One Hundred and One Dalmatians! Experience live, in-the-moment piano accompaniment (by VFF favourite Jordan Klapman) to films featuring two silent stars in their iconic roles: Charlie Chaplin in The Tramp, and Rudolph Valentino in The Sheik. And the Festival experience also includes the Sunday lunchtime film talk (an on-stage interview with award-winning costume designer Alex Reda), new merchandise and movie banners, the silent auction, free admission for young people 25 and under, and free popcorn all weekend! The Capitol Theatre welcomes individuals with disabilities to attend performances and other events at our facility. We are committed to providing accessible services in a manner that maintains the dignity and independence of all while providing equality of access and integration. The Capitol Theatre wishes to acknowledge the original caretakers of this land: the Wendake-Nionwentsio, the Mississauga, the Anishinabewaki, and many other nations–recorded and unrecorded. This theatre has a long history, but there is a much longer history in this region and we can all do a better job of recognizing that history. Open one hour prior to all live performances. Closed on statutory holidays.
