Now, at only 20, she’s establishing herself as one of the country’s most compelling young performers. A 2025 Canadian Folk Music Award Young Performer winner, Mary Frances has already performed more than 650 shows, shared stages with artists including Yo-Yo Ma and Béla Fleck, appeared at major festivals across Canada and internationally, and is building a rapidly growing online following with performances amassing hundreds of thousands — and even millions — of views. A fiddler, pianist, composer, and step dancer, Mary Frances blends Celtic, jazz, & Latin influences into a sound that feels joyful, fresh, and utterly magnetic. Her debut solo album First Light earned critical acclaim and the 2024 Cape Breton Tourism Award, cementing what audiences quickly recognize: dazzling musicianship paired with an unmistakable artistic voice.
