**The Peterborough Concert Band will perform on Thursday July 30th 2026 from 7:00 – 9:00pm at the Jalynn Bennett Amphitheatre at Traill College, as part of the William & Nona Heaslip Foundation Summer Festival. The venue is a three-season performance space situated in the courtyard of Traill College.** **The Band brings joy to the public of all ages. The concert offers a performance of popular tunes ranging from Duke Ellington to the Beach Boys Greatest Hits! The concert will kick off with A Closer Walk with Thee, a beautiful traditional gospel song and jazz standard. The program also contains medleys of selections from the popular musicals Les Miserables and Oliver. You also won’t want to miss our lively rendition of Uptown Funk! The performance is free and suitable for all age levels.** **The Peterborough Concert Band, which is conducted by Saman Shahi, is a spirited community band based in Peterborough, Ontario. Founded in 1858, it is one of the oldest continuously operating concert bands in Canada. For over 168 years, it has reflected the cultural and historical life of Peterborough and the nation.
