About this event

Becoming a member of the Capitol Circle means taking pride in supporting your local arts community and commitment to the well-being of the Capitol Theatre. A truly Canadian story of creating community around the world. This global sensation takes you into the centre of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town of Gander, Newfoundland that welcomed them during the 9/11 terrorist attacks. At first, cultures clash and nerves run high, but tension turns into trust, gratitude, and ultimately friendship. Written by Tony-nominated Canadians Irene Sankoff and David Hein, this homegrown story shows the indomitable human spirit. Nominated for 7 Tony Awards. Winner of 5 Outer Critics Circle Awards, 3 Drama Desk Awards, and 4 Olivier Awards.
