Celebrate Canada Day in Brighton with Free Family Friendly Events

The Brighton Community Events Committee is excited to announce the return of the annual Canada Day Celebration on Wednesday July 1 at King Edward Park. Residents and visitors are invited to come together in celebration of Canada’s birthday with a full day of free, family friendly activities and entertainment. The celebration will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a pancake breakfast, followed by free activities at 10:00 a.m., including bouncy castles, balloon twisting, face painting and live entertainment. A variety of food vendors will be on-site offering a range of tasty options. At 10:45 a.m. the Canada Day Parade will make its way through the park, with official opening ceremonies beginning at 11:00 a.m. Attendees can enjoy complimentary cake as part of the celebration. The evening festivities will begin at 7:30 p.m. with live entertainment by Firebush, followed by a spectacular fireworks show at 10:00 p.m. Residents are encouraged to bring a blanket or a chair to enjoy the show. The Canada Day celebration is proudly hosted by the Brighton Community Events Steering Committee.
